Our very own CEO Ashley Hackett won the Business Person of the Year trophy at Friday’s BIBA’s awards.
The BIBA’s (The Be Inspired Business Awards), is Lancashire’s largest and longest running business awards programme and was held on Friday evening at Blackpool Tower.
The Business Person of the Year award was filled with strong nominees including Barrie Wells Trust, Gannon Oils and North West Skills Academy but it was Blackpool FC Community Trust’s CEO Ashley Hackett who took home the award.
Ashley was delighted with the accolade and praised everyone at Blackpool FC Community Trust for their continuous hard work and dedication. Ashley said, “Winning Business Person of the Year is a fantastic feeling. I want to thank all my staff for their fantastic support because this award would not have been possible without them.”
Ashley added, “We really care about building a better, healthier and safer community for Blackpool. The BIBA’s has been a really enjoyable experience, from the team nominating myself, to the interview processes and the awards evening itself. I’m still lost for words for my nomination, so winning this amazing accolade is a real highlight in my career so far. The award also highlights the fantastic work the whole team do and being a finalist for 3rd Sector Business of the year is also a great achievement.”
