Blackpool FC Players visit Sports Camps

A host of Blackpool FC first team players visited Blackpool FC Community Trust’s Sports Camps yesterday afternoon.

Ben Williams, Ollie Turton, Danny Philliskirk, Caleb Richards and Sessi D’Almeida all surprised the children at our Hawes Side and Unity Sports Camp.

Blackpool FC Community Trust run Sports Camps across Blackpool for children aged 5-14. The Trust deliver daily football sessions as well as multi-sport activities such as handball, netball, dodgeball, arts and crafts, quick cricket, rounders and basketball.

Blackpool FC striker Danny Philliskirk was full of praise towards the Trust’s Sports Camps. Danny said, “It’s a fantastic opportunity for children to come and get involved in fun activities and meet new friends from other schools. Me and the lads have really enjoyed coming to see the children and get involved in some of the activities.”

Blackpool FC Community Trust Sports Camp Coordinator, Marc Joseph said, “Having the players come along to see the children always fills the camps with excitement. We deliver the camps from 8am until 5pm during school holidays and try to fill the days with as many different activities as possible, so getting the first team to come along and get involved always adds something a bit different and special.”
