Blackpool FC stars Nya Kirby and Yusifu Ceesay made a special appearance to Park Community Academy on Tuesday afternoon.
Yusifu Ceesay and Nya Kirby, who is on loan from Crystal Palace visited SEN school Park Community Academy as part of Blackpool FC Community Trust’s inclusion programme. The Trust run different inclusive programmes to support people with disabilities.
Ceesay and Kirby took part in a Q&A with pupils from Park. The duo were asked a number of questions before they got involved in a kick-about with the group on the playground.
Nya Kirby enjoyed his time visiting the school and hopes to come back. Nya said, “It was a fantastic experience. The kids were really nice and I enjoyed showing them some skills. We walked in and the group started clapping for us and you could just see how happy they were but we absolutely loved it.”
Yusifu Ceesay also praised the experience. Yusifu said, “This was the first time I have ever done a visit to a school and I really liked it. The children were so good and happy. The Trust do a lot of good work in the community and if we can give back in any way, then we will be happy to do so.”
