Trust Help Out At St Peters Church for Homeless and Socially Isolated

Blackpool FC Community Trust prides itself on giving back to the community and with it being Christmas, the Trust hosted a christmas dinner event at St Peters Church for the homeless and socially isolated.

The event was organised in partnership between Blackpool Football Club Community Trust and St Peters Church, with cooking support from Rowley’s Catering and food donated by Clifton Meats and Trevors Food Service.

The event was the idea of Trust Chairman Rev. Michael Ward and Trust’s CEO Ashley Hackett.

CEO, Ashley Hackett, said “We wanted to give something back this Christmas and the group that always gets forgotten about are people that live in isolation and the homeless. We decided to work with some great partners to put this Christmas meal on for these very important people, that normally may not get to enjoy a Turkey dinner.

It’s great that so many people have given up their time, at such a busy time of year, to help with the event.

We hope this is the start of a number of events and eventually projects we will deliver for the socially isolated in Blackpool during 2017, that will support getting more people involved in positive activity and exercise.”
