PL Kicks Winter Timetable

Did you know that we deliver FREE football sessions across Blackpool?

Our Premier League Kicks sessions are aimed at young people aged 8 – 18, creating opportunities for young people at the heart of their communities.

PL Kicks has a long history of using the power of football and the value of sports participation to help youngsters in some of the most high-need areas. By engaging young people in constructive activities, including a wide variety of sports, coaching, dance, educational and personal development sessions, communities up and down the country have been transformed with impressive football and sports participation rates and the authorities reporting significant reductions in anti-social behaviour in the areas in which it is delivered.

As well as the free football sessions, PL Kicks also offers pathways into regular competitive football matches and tournaments with other Community Trust Kicks teams throughout the country.

Over Summer 2021 our PL Kicks sessions engaged 307 unique individuals and we ran a total of 76 sessions.

Thanks to funding from The Department for Education, in addition to our usual PL Kicks sessions, our community HAF offer aimed to engage with anyone aged 11 + who is entitled to free school meals.  Young people who attended were provided with a free meal alongside sporting activities.  These sessions ran for four evenings per week across five weeks.  During these sessions we provided a total of 600 free meals to our local community.

Adam Aspinall, Community Youth Sports Manager at Blackpool FC Community Trust said, “After a busy summer on our PL Kicks programme we are excited to be launching our new winter timetable and welcoming young people along to take part in free football across Blackpool”
