On Friday 14thJune the Blackpool FC Community Trusts NCS team held an end of exam celebration event for all current sign up’s to the programme.
Over 45 young people aged 16/17 from all over Blackpool came along to Ascent Trampoline Park for a fun filled hour on the Trampolines, Climbing wall, Flip Zone, and Dodgeball Zone.
Aswell as being able to let loose after the exam stress the young people were also able to chat to staff and get to know other young people who will be attending the programme in July.
NCS is made up of 4 phases;
Phase 1 – Adventure
It’s time to challenge yourself. Living with your team in the Scottish borders at an outdoor centre especially chosen by us, you’ll get to meet new people, whilst taking part in activities such as Canoeing, Rock climbing, Zip Wire and much more
Phase 2 – Discovery
Next you will be travelling to the University of Cumbria in Lancaster where you will develop life skills like independent living, confidence, leadership and communication through specialist workshops and activities.
Phase 3 – Social Action
It’s time to make your mark. This is where your NCS experience all come together. You and your mates will deliver a community project about the issues that matter to you within Blackpool. Plan, Fundraise and make a difference!
Phase 4 – Graduation
It’s time to celebrate. You’ll enjoy a well-earned reward for doing something incredible in your community. What’s more as a now NCS Graduate you’ll access exclusive volunteering and work opportunities
Our NCS Programme starts on Monday 22ndJuly and we still have limited places available, these are open to anyone who is a Year 11 leaver or Year 12.
