We are very proud of our Summer NCS participants. They have won the ‘Most Innovative’ award at the Cash Quest for Carers celebration event. The young people were given £50 from Blackpool Carers Centre, which they could use to develop fundraising ideas. Pitching their ideas in the ‘Dragons Den’ the young people decided to do a sponsored walk, a tombola, a 5k run and face painting.
The group raised £1011.73: £415.23 for Blackpool Carers, £234.90 for Sign Hi Say Hi, £178.29 for Mind Charity and £185.31 for Brian House.
We would like to thank Thornton’s Chocolate, Timpsons, Glamour Forever, The Rock Shop, Debenhams (Clinique), Odean Cinema, Flaming Grill, Muse Hair Design and Just Desserts for donating prizes to the tombola.
