Kicks Participants Enjoy Evening Of Football on Bloomfield Road

Blackpool FC Community Trust treated our Kicks participants to a 11-aside friendly at Bloomfield Road on the first team pitch.

The game was for 13-15 year olds who regularly attend Blackpool FC Community Trust’s Kicks sessions.

Premier League Kicks is an opportunity for young people (aged 7-19) to participate in football activities with Blackpool FC Community Trust’s qualified coaches.

The match was between our Kicks participants and Preston North End’s Kicks participants, in what was a local derby. Both sets of teams produced brilliant football and behaved excellently.

James Wilmore, 14, was delighted with the experience. James said, “To play on Blackpool FC’s first team pitch was an amazing experience and something I’ll never forget.”

Senior Sports Participation Officer, Michael Brown who overseas the Trust’s Premier League Kicks programme believes the Kicks participants fully enjoyed their experience. Michael said, “It was a fantastic opportunity for our Kicks participants. It’s something very few 13-15 year olds will experience. They were a credit to themselves and Blackpool FC Community Trust.”
