Kicks Fixtures

Blackpool FC Community Trust travelled to Wigan Youth Zone on Wednesday 6th February to face Wigan Athletic in their opening Kicks fixture for the season. This resulted in an emphatic 10-1 victory to the under 15’s Kicks representatives.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t the same story for our under 16’s who took part in a tournament away in Blackburn on Wednesday 20th February. The lads were very unlucky hitting the post and crossbar six times in the first match which resulted in a 3-2 defeat to Accrington Stanley. This was followed by an 8-2 defeat to Blackburn Rovers, the tournament hosts.

The final match saw a great contest between Blackpool and Oldham Athletic. Both teams pushed for victory in the final minute of the game but Oldham took the victory with a 4-3 win.

All participants conducted themselves superbly and were a credit to the Community Trust.

The young people who took part regularly attend our FREE Playfootball and Boundary Primary Kicks sessions.
