Blackpool FC Futsal Scholars play in the Soccer AM Cup

Blackpool FC Futsal scholars travelled to Leeds this week to take part in the Soccer AM Cup.  The Soccer Am Cup sees 52 football league clubs compete in the futsal equivalent of the FA Cup.

The players selected are currently undertaking a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport at the club while playing and training in the National Futsal League.  Blackpool’s A team currently sit 3rd in division 1 and are seeded 2nd in their group.  The team played three games, beating Morecambe 7-4, drawing against Burton Albion 3-3 and loosing to Leeds United 5-4. Unfortunately this wasn’t enough to secure a place in the next round, leaving Blackpool knocked out on goal difference.

Blackpool are currently recruiting potential students / players for next year, if you are in year 11 and interested in receiving a first class education as well as the opportunity to represent Blackpool FC Futsal in the National Futsal League there will be an Open Evening on Wednesday 4th February at 6pm at Bloomfield Road Stadium.
