What Is Changemakers?
Changemakers is a team for young people aged 15-17, providing that the 15 year olds turn 16 by August 31st of that year and is extended to 18-24 years old for SEN. The team is full of individuals who participate in fun activities that focus on social action projects, skill development and having a positive impact on things that matter to them in their local community. The team is active all year round creating exciting projects and being the change they want to see within Blackpool.
What do Changemakers Do?
During the year NCS will organise workshops to develop new and existing skills such as self confidence, teamwork and creativity.
The young people in changemakers also organize their own projects to make a positive change within their local community, impacting an issue that matters to them. Examples of this include raising money for local charities and keeping the local beaches clean. The young people do have control and can decide to do anything they believe needs to be positively changed, with the help and support of the NCS staff.
