Blackpool FC Community Trust is the official charity of Blackpool FC, based at Bloomfield Road Stadium. Working with residents as young as 2 years old up to adults in the later stages of life, BFCCT provide a diverse range of programmes to increase social inclusion opportunities; improve physical fitness, health and education; and lessen involvement in anti-social behaviour.

Happy New Year everyone.  2022 is upon us and we are hitting the ground running.  Over the next couple of weeks we will be; commencing a new cohort of our FREE Weight Management programme, FIT BLACKPOOL, recommencing our Tiny Tangerines mini football sessions and welcoming students back to Blackpool FC Sports College to continue with their BTEC and Degree courses.  In addition, our weekly social groups and activity groups such as Sporting Memories and Extra Time will also be restarting.

Thanks to support from the Prince’s Trust, we are now launching a Traineeship specifically focusing on the Health and Social care industry.

Are you aged 18-30 and interested in a career in Health and Social Care?

Our new programme consists of a range of recognised qualifications and work experience, which will raise employment opportunities. The course is aimed at helping aid with staff shortages within the sector, and we are partnered with 35 different Health & Social Care providers who are facing these challenges.

Career opportunities range from frontline workers, administration, kitchen staff, security, and health care assistants.

Qualifications include:  Level 1 Introduction to Health & Social Care, Level 3 First Aid at Work, Employability workshops, Personal developments workshops, Functional Skills English & Maths (up to Level 2), Health & Social Care placement.

Next week we are introducing a new youth team, offering young people aged 16 – 17 the opportunity to become a CHANGE MAKER in the community.

What is Changemakers?

Changemakers is a team for all young people aged 16-17 to be part of.

You will participate in activities that focus on social action projects, skill development and having a positive impact on things that matter to YOU in your local community.

The team will be active all year round with the aim to do at least five hours of social action / skill development per month.

Our Welcome Meeting is on Monday 10th January 2022 at 5pm – Meeting point is Blackpool FC North Stand – Education & Employability Centre. Please contact Stacey.royales@bfcct.co.uk for more information and to get involved.
